As you probably noticed the temporary ramp has been removed. Yes it’s gone!
Saturday morning a group of 35 hard working WMU students, Project Managers from The Austin Company, a habitat homeowner and nine members of the congregation descended on the ramp. Exactly three hours later the entire ramp was dismantled, all nails removed, all materials sorted and loaded on trailers and the sidewalk cleaned.
The materials from the ramp were headed off the habitat warehouse where they will be put to good use on decks and porches for habitat client homes.
The only incident occurred when the habitat homeowner was stuck in our rear elevator for 40 minutes.
We are very grateful for the hard work of all of these volunteers.
