Music at First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian is known for its fine music program, directed by Thomas Kasdorf. In addition to our three choirs, we often have special music events featuring talented musicians of all kinds.

Summer Choir is for all singers from 9th grade through adults. Come to the choir room at 9:30am on Sunday morning (June through August) to rehearse two anthems to sing at the 10:30am worship service.

Choirs - First Presbyterian has three choirs:

Youth Choir is open to students from 4th through 8th grade. Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evenings (September through May) from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The choir sings once or twice a month at the 10:30am worship service with an 9:30 a.m. warm-up rehearsal.

Westminster Choir is open to students from 9th through 12th grade. Rehearsals are held on Sunday, September through May from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.(check the bulletin - Westminster does not rehearse every Sunday). The choir sings once or twice a month at the 10:30 a.m. worship service with an 9:30 a.m. warm-up rehearsal.

Adult Choir is open to all post-high school singers. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings (September through May)from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the choir room. The choir sings almost every Sunday at the 10:30 am worship service with a warm-up rehearsal at 9:30 am.
